Juvia’s Place is a cosmetics brand founded by Nigerian-born entrepreneur Chichi Eburu to create vibrant makeup that performs beautifully on deeper skin tones. Eburu had repeatedly found that many mainstream products appeared dull, gray, or nearly invisible on her complexion. She launched Juvia’s Place in 2016 with highly pigmented eyeshadow palettes inspired by African history, royalty, art, and culture. The brand quickly developed a devoted following through its bold colors, accessible pricing, distinctive packaging, and strong representation of Black beauty. It later expanded into foundations, concealers, blushes, lip products, skincare, and other complexion products designed for a broad range of skin tones.
