Our Vision

Every weekend brought a distinct familial rhythm and energy — clean cuts, fresh kicks, loud debates, and even louder laughter. But beneath it all was something deeper: a place of restoration. A space where people could set down the weight of the world and reconnect with their truest selves.
The walls carried black-and-white portraits of leaders and legends watching over the room. People came through selling music, clothes, art, and whatever else the community needed to move forward. Looking back now, it was more than a barbershop. It was a living expression of Black ambition, a space shaped creativity, pride, and self-determination.
First & King was built to carry that spirit forward.
It is a fictional street corner — a reimagined block and digital marketplace where Black creators in Fashion, Art, and Beauty are prioritized, celebrated, and given a permanent home. An exhibition of community and culture where creativity is elevated, stories are preserved, and the best of what our community creates is always on display.
This is the block of Black excellence.

The Mission

We built First & King to uplift Black creators the way the world never has - with reverence and without compromise. Our mission is to cultivate enduring opportunities for Black creators through storytelling, strategic support, and a platform designed to turn cultural power into lasting ownership and generational growth.

About the Team

We're a team of marketing, branding, and business strategy professionals who believe that talent deserves to be seen. Combined, we bring over 15 years of experience helping brands and businesses grow across multiple industries. Most importantly, we believe in the power of community, and we've built First & King to put that belief into action. Our expertise exists to serve one purpose: helping Black creators, brands, and artists grow. We hope to see you on the block!
