From Wesley Clark’s ‘Recent Works’ — ‘Fear Less’ is a fabricated mixed media object that challenges the viewer to interrogate the nature of fear: where it comes from, who instills it, and what objects and histories carry it forward. Clark’s distressed surfaces simulate age and wear — as if fear has accumulated over time, can be peeled away.
