Brand Story
Founded by Scott Sasso out of his dorm room at Vassar College in 1995, 10.Deep is one of New York City’s original and most enduring independent streetwear brands. The name itself is a nod to the slang term for a group of ten showing up together as a show of force — a declaration of collective strength and community. Drawing inspiration from the overlapping subcultures that shaped NYC in the 1990s — hip-hop, graffiti, skateboarding, punk, and Japanese street fashion — 10.Deep helped define what it meant to be a streetwear brand rooted in real culture rather than trend-chasing. Sasso’s mother, a clothing designer herself, helped him navigate early production, and her influence shaped the brand’s commitment to authentic craftsmanship from the very beginning. Over nearly three decades, 10.Deep has evolved from T-shirts and cut-and-sew staples into a full lifestyle brand, while remaining true to the independent spirit and bold visual language that launched it. 10.Deep embodies the principle that personal strength comes from staying rooted in your community, your subculture, and yourself.
