About brand
Founded by Tristan Walker in 2013, Bevel was built to solve one of the most persistent and painful problems faced by Black men: razor bumps. Walker, a Stanford Business School graduate and former Foursquare executive, recognized that mainstream shaving products were engineered for straight hair — leaving men with coarse, curly hair prone to pseudofolliculitis barbae (razor bumps) with no real solution. Bevel launched with a single-blade safety razor system that cuts at skin level rather than below it — dramatically reducing ingrown hairs. Clinically tested and dermatologist-recommended, the brand expanded into a full grooming ecosystem including priming oil, shave cream, restoring balm, bump control, skincare, and hair care. In 2018, Procter & Gamble acquired Walker & Company Brands (Bevel's parent company), giving the brand major retail distribution while Walker retained a leadership role.
