About brand
Hyper Skin is a skincare brand founded by Desiree Verdejo to address hyperpigmentation and dark spots, particularly on melanin-rich skin. Verdejo’s own experience with hormonal acne left behind discoloration that was more difficult to treat than the breakouts themselves. She found that few effective products directly addressed the needs of women of color, inspiring her to launch Hyper Skin in 2019. The brand began with a vitamin C serum created to brighten uneven tone and support acne-prone skin. It later expanded into cleansers, moisturizers, masks, and treatments focused on discoloration, dullness, texture, and skin-barrier health. Hyper Skin combines effective formulas with optimistic, inclusive branding that makes clinical skincare feel approachable. The brand is built on the belief that darker skin deserves targeted product innovation, not generic formulas supported only by inclusive advertising.
