Nate Austin (art By Nfa)

Nathaniel F. Austin (NFA) is a fine artist who began drawing at age six — doodling on church fans and scrap paper during Sunday services. He attended the Cleveland School of the Arts for high school and The University of Toledo for college. Art took a backseat during his collegiate years, but he eventually returned to the calling he could no longer run from. His goal: to give voice to a world that is misrepresented, marginalized, and misunderstood, while magnifying the beauty that already exists. Austin creates using oils, acrylic, acrylic paint pen, charcoal, and collage — his style spans expressive abstraction and realism, and he has recently begun weaving in text and literary references to deepen narrative power. His work is dedicated to sharing the realities of the African American experience. Original paintings are available via email inquiry; prints available in his shop.
