Artist Story

Jerry Lynn is a distinguished painter and arts educator born in Memphis, Tennessee, now based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. His work draws deeply from his Southern roots, Black history, and cultural identity — capturing the beauty and strength of Black figures through richly textured canvases. His signature style layers acrylics with spontaneous drips, creating powerful visual statements rooted in the heritage of Black America. With over a decade of experience teaching art in Memphis and Dallas, Jerry has dedicated himself to inspiring the next generation. His work is featured in prestigious collections including those of Stacey Abrams, Bob Johnson, and Alonzo Mourning. Recent exhibitions include the ‘Red Clay Survey’ at the Huntsville Museum of Art. He offers originals (some up to $15,500) and limited edition canvas prints ($1,050–$2,810).
